Gift Card Policy

No Expiry Date

Purchased Kind Decor gift cards do not expire. The value of your gift card will remain available until the full balance has been redeemed.

Where Gift Cards Can Be Used

Kind Decor gift cards may be redeemed toward eligible merchandise at Kind Decor. Physical and digital gift cards may be redeemed in-store and online.

Remaining Balances

Gift cards do not need to be used in a single transaction. If the full value is not used, the remaining balance will stay on the gift card and can be used toward a future purchase until the balance reaches $0.

Multiple Gift Cards

Multiple Kind Decor gift cards may be used toward a single purchase where our point-of-sale or online system supports it. If you experience difficulty combining gift cards online, please contact us for assistance.

No Cash Redemption

Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.

Refunds on Gift Card Purchases

The purchase of a gift card is final and non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase another gift card.

Returns of Merchandise Purchased with a Gift Card

Returns and exchanges of merchandise purchased with a gift card are subject to Kind Decor's regular return policy.

Where a refund is approved for merchandise originally purchased using a gift card, the applicable amount will be returned to a gift card or store credit rather than issued as cash, subject to our regular return policy and applicable law.

Lost, Stolen or Misplaced Gift Cards

Please treat your gift card like cash. Kind Decor is not responsible for lost, stolen or unauthorized use of gift cards.

No Inactivity or Service Fees

Kind Decor does not charge inactivity, dormancy or service fees on purchased gift cards. The value of a purchased gift card will not decrease simply because it has not been used.

Taxes

No HST is charged when a gift card is purchased. Applicable taxes are charged when the gift card is redeemed toward taxable merchandise.

Digital Gift Cards

Digital gift cards have the same value and general terms as our physical purchased gift cards.

Digital gift cards contain a unique code that should be kept secure. Anyone with access to the code may potentially be able to use the gift card, so please take care when forwarding or sharing a digital gift card.

If you experience difficulty redeeming a digital gift card online or have a remaining balance that cannot be applied through our website, please contact Kind Decor and we will be happy to assist you.

Additional Restrictions

Kind Decor reserves the right to decline a gift card that we reasonably believe has been altered, duplicated, obtained fraudulently or used without authorization, subject to applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

Kind Decor may update this Gift Card Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our systems, business practices or applicable laws.

Any changes will be posted on our website. Changes will not reduce the remaining monetary value of a previously purchased gift card or impose an expiry date or fee where doing so would not be permitted by law.

From time to time, Kind Decor may provide complimentary promotional certificates, vouchers or credits as part of a giveaway, contest, donation, special event, customer-service gesture or other promotion where no payment was made for the certificate or credit.

These complimentary promotional certificates are separate from purchased Kind Decor gift cards and may have their own terms and conditions.

Depending on the promotion, these terms may include:

(-) A specified redemption period or expiry date;

(-) Use in a single transaction;

(-) No remaining balance or cash value;

(-) Exclusions from sale merchandise or certain products; and/or

(-) Restrictions on combining the certificate with other promotions, discounts or offers.

Any special terms will be communicated with the applicable promotional certificate or offer.

Where a promotional certificate was issued for a specific charitable purpose or is otherwise subject to different requirements under applicable law, those requirements will apply.
